  • Full-time (35 hours average over 2 weeks)
  • Wirral based – Greenbank

 

(The shift pattern for this role is 4 days one week and then 3 days the next. Set working hours for this role will be 9pm-7am. On occasion you will be required to cover our other services - These shifts will be 10pm-8am.)

 

The role

To deliver support to residents within a support service for young people at risk of homelessness or preparing for independent living. The role will also support the Team Leader – Young Person Support Services in the successful delivery of services within designated schemes and teams, as part of the Independent Living Department.

 

The right fit

  • A good working knowledge of the care and support sector relating to resident’s and behaviours and the ability to demonstrate engagement with vulnerable and difficult to engage with groups including young people and children

 

  • Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills in both a verbal and non-verbal context. This includes the presentation of documents in a variety of forms to suit the needs of the business and the residents including the use of Microsoft packages to an appropriate standard

 

  • To have a positive and flexible approach to the role and have the ability to work under own initiative and be comfortable with lone working as well as working directly with other team members

 

  • To have excellent communication skills shown by an ability to work in a team who covers a 24/7 shift rota based pattern and ensure that all critical information is updated and easily accessible to the team

 

  • A resilient and professional approach to problem solving and contract dispute with customers and partners, ensuring compliance is maintained throughout various forms of agreements within Care and Support schemes
