The role

In the role of Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will provide excellent finance business partnering and support the Head of Finance Business Partnering & Senior Finance Business Partners in the preparation of monthly management information.

You will also ensure the management accounts are completed accurately within the 10-day timescale including reforecast information, whilst also supporting the production of annual financial statements for external audit, reporting to Group Boards, Board Committees and external filing.

You must ensure the ongoing administration and support of the Group’s finance system. In conjunction with the Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll provide a high level of financial support to Senior Managers and Directors.

 

The right fit

  • You must have demonstrable experience within a financial reporting department.
  • Ability to build solid, lasting and productive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • People-management skills, including ability to communicate complex issues, influence, negotiate etc.
  • Attention to detail and ability to achieve deadlines when under pressure.
  • Advanced ICT literacy with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Preferred part or fully qualified AAT or studying for an accountancy qualification
  • Good working knowledge of Open Accounts and housing sector
